Founded in 1988 and relaunched as a low-cost carrier in 1996, the airline is owned by the Gokongwei-led JG Summit Holdings and has been instrumental in democratising air travel across the Philippine archipelago.
The airline operates an extensive domestic network connecting major Philippine cities, alongside international routes to destinations in East Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Australia. Its low-fare model has made it the carrier of choice for budget-conscious Filipino travellers and the growing inbound tourism market.
Cebu Pacific has invested heavily in fleet modernisation, ordering Airbus A320neo family aircraft to replace older A320ceo types, improving fuel efficiency and reducing operating costs across its high-frequency domestic and regional network.
