Allegiant Air

Allegiant Air is an American ultra-low-cost carrier headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, operating primarily leisure-focused routes between small and mid-sized cities and popular vacation destinations.

Founded in 1997 and restructured under the Allegiant brand in the early 2000s, the airline pioneered a point-to-point model targeting underserved markets that larger carriers typically ignore, charging ultra-low base fares supplemented by an extensive range of ancillary fees.

Allegiant operates an all-Airbus narrowbody fleet and maintains a lean cost structure by flying a relatively low number of frequencies per route, often only a few days per week.

The parent company, Allegiant Travel Company, has diversified into hospitality and entertainment, including ownership of the Allegiant Stadium naming rights deal in Las Vegas and interests in resort developments in Florida.
