The airline is owned by Juneyao Group, a large Shanghai-based private conglomerate. Juneyao has positioned itself as a quality carrier between the full-service state-owned carriers and pure LCCs, offering a comfortable product on both its narrowbody and widebody aircraft.
Juneyao expanded into long-haul operations with the introduction of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, enabling services to destinations such as Helsinki and other European cities. It has a codeshare arrangement with Finnair.
