Starlux Airlines

Starlux Airlines is a Taiwanese boutique airline founded in 2018 and commencing operations in January 2020. Established by aviation entrepreneur Chang Kuo-wei, the airline positions itself as a premium carrier with an emphasis on luxury service and passenger experience.

Operating from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, Starlux quickly expanded its network across Asia, targeting destinations in Japan, Southeast Asia, and northeast Asia before setting its sights on long-haul routes to the United States and Europe.

The airline has built a reputation for its high-quality cabin interiors, attentive service, and modern fleet of Airbus aircraft. Its product is particularly noted for premium cabins that rival established full-service carriers in the region.

Starlux is not a member of any of the major global airline alliances, positioning itself as an independent premium carrier. It launched transatlantic and transpacific routes as part of its ambitious growth strategy in the mid-2020s.
