Jin Air is a South Korean low-cost carrier and a wholly owned subsidiary of Korean Air, established in 2008. It operates domestic routes within South Korea as well as international services to destinations in Northeast and Southeast Asia.
As a subsidiary of Korean Air, Jin Air benefits from shared infrastructure and access to Incheon and Gimpo airports. Its fleet includes Boeing 737 narrowbodies for shorter routes and Boeing 777 widebodies for medium-haul international services — an unusual combination for an LCC.
Jin Air competes in the crowded South Korean budget aviation market alongside Jeju Air, T'way Air, and Eastar Jet, focusing on leisure and visiting-friends-and-relatives traffic.
