Overview
Scoot is the low-cost long-haul subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, founded in 2011 and commencing operations in 2012. It was created to capture the budget long-haul market while keeping Singapore Airlines' premium brand distinct.
Operating from Singapore Changi Airport, Scoot connects Singapore to destinations across Asia, Australia, and parts of Europe, with a particular focus on secondary Chinese cities and leisure markets in Southeast Asia.
The airline operates an all-Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet for medium- and long-haul routes, complemented by Airbus A320-family aircraft for shorter regional services following the merger with Tigerair Singapore in 2017.
Scoot is part of the Singapore Airlines Group and benefits from feed from parent SQ at Changi. Although not a standalone alliance member, it participates in interline arrangements through its parent group.
